doc
A doctor. Or a document. People say 'my doc' about a physician, or about a file they just wrote. It is short, friendly, and everyday.
What a model may hear
- documentation file or comment block software projects, docstrings, READMEs
- Assume the user wants generated documentation, API references, or inline code comments
- Docker container or image DevOps, containerization
- Interpret as docker build, docker run, or Dockerfile instructions
- .doc format Microsoft Word legacy files, file conversion
- Attempt to parse or convert binary .doc files, or warn about format limitations
- doctor/physician entity medical databases, healthcare APIs
- Route to medical advice, clinical terminology, or provider lookup tools
Where people and models part ways
“Send me the doc”
Meant: Email me the Word file
May be taken as: Generates API documentation or a docker-compose file
Say instead: “Send me the Word file named report.doc”
“Ask my doc”
Meant: Check with my physician
May be taken as: Queries a documentation database or runs a docker command
Say instead: “Check with my physician”
“Add doc to the repo”
Meant: Put the explanation in the README
May be taken as: Creates a new Docker image or generates Sphinx docs
Say instead: “Add explanation to the README.md file”
“The doc says rest”
Meant: My doctor said to rest
May be taken as: Searches documentation for 'rest' as an API term
Say instead: “My doctor said to rest”
